2006 Dodge Ram 2500 - CAN Bus Errors

I recently installed a Pioneer MVH1400NEX head unit with a Maestro ADS-RR in my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. Shortly after I started to have intermittent turn signal errors. It was probably immediate but I was too excited to notice. It was diagnosed by the dealer as a bad TIPM. I had a new one put it and had the same problems.

Recently I unplugged the Maestro and the issue went away. I powered only the head unit without the Maestro and still no problems. I powered the Maestro only without the head unit. I ran an OBD scan and I am getting a CAN Bus error,

Any advice out there?

We are only connecting to 2 can lines in this application, so you could try removing the OBD2 and see if it goes away. Typically when we see can errors, it is because of poor contact between the pins in our OBD plug and the connector of the vehicle. The added resistance on the data lines causes random errors and DTCs. If you unplug the OBD, drive it a bit, and the issue fixes itself, I'd recommend hardwiring the OBD wiring to the truck instead of using the plug, using either a military splice or splice and solder, and that should take care of it.
