'13 F150 w/ Factory Sony - Rr2 question

My '13 F150 has the factory Sony system. I'll be replacing it in a few weeks with a new Kenwood receiver, using the Rr2.

From the information I've gathered, all the connections are done within the dash and that I don't have to pull the center console out to access the factory amplifier. It's this correct?

The factory amplifier is retained without making connections at the amp itself, that's correct.
