09 Civic performance data?

Post by ubaisore » Sat Aug 04, 2018 1:36 am

Hi

I recently bought two Pioneer MVH-300EX units for my kids cars. I installed the first one and cant get the performance data. Parts are as follows:
2009 Civic EX
Pioneer MVH-300EX
Maestro RR
H01 kit

I am starting to think that I was mislead by Crutchfield and this unit only keep the amp working and the factory steering controls. I tried to customer one button via the firmware and while the others worked, the vol up "hold" was supposed to get Siri and it doesnt. Is this the vehicle or a limitation of the Pioneer with a Maestro?

The Voice/Siri thing is a Pioneer quirk; if you configure it as press and hold, it won't get a long enough pulse for it to activate. In order to work, it needs a VERY long press, so you must assign voice/siri to its own button (with NONE on the press and hold command), and then it should work.

As for the vehicle data, this radio does not support it (it doesn't have the iDatalink port, so there is no way for us to send information to the radio). It must be one of the radios listed with a green icon at the link below.

Thank you! I ended up getting Crutchfield to take back the 300EX units and got the MVH-1400NEX units. So I got it into the Civic and the only thing I cant figure out right now is the gauges. I cant see how to bring them up on the screen. (I did have it work on the other car I did, 2014 Camry) via the left and right controls on the steering wheel. The Honda steering wheel doesn't have the same. Is there a way to bring them up from the head unit?

On the radio menus, go to Car Features > Gauges.
