Connecting aftermarket amp and subwoofer?

Post by Baby buluga » Sat Mar 24, 2018 11:23 pm

I have an ‘08 Civic Si with the maestro rr connected to my aftermarket Alpine INE-W960HDMI head unit. I am using the steering wheel controls and factory amp for my regular speakers in the car. I connected my aftermarket amp with RCA jacks to the back of the alpine deck’s sub out jacks and do not get any bass out of the subwoofer. I am getting power to the amp. I tested the amp and subwoofer by plugging a rca y adapter straight from the amp/subwoofer into my ipod and I get bass. I know there is not an issue with the subwoofer and amp. How do I get my subwoofer/amp working with the maestro rr? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We aren't providing the subwoofer signal, that would be alpine. Check settings within radio to ensure subwoofer is turned on and that you are plugged into the subwoofer preouts otherwise you may want to call Alpine for further assistance.
