no signal off factory headunit

Post by pasoundworks » Wed Jun 06, 2018 12:55 pm

We had a 2017 Jeep Cherokee in the shop yesterday installing a 5 channel amp with new speakers all around. Just a factory deck with no separate amp. Can't get a signal off the deck at all. Did some checking and looks like the deck needs a load to output signal. anyone heard of that before and what's the fix?

See attached. You must install load resistors, let the vehicle sleep, and when it wakes up, it should detect a load and give you sound.
