data cable and extension

Post by ekaz » Thu Apr 19, 2018 10:27 pm

2 things, I bought my AR last year (module is dated 4/19/17). Somewhere between then and now, I misplaced my data cable. How can I go about getting a replacement. The second, is that I need to use the extension cable that came with the Kenwood XR600-6DSP. I understand not connecting the white connector to the purple connector, however, do I connect it the remaining black connector to the red wires by the maestro and then to position A?

What kind of vehicle is this in? And where are you located- the US or Canada?

I'm installing it in 2018 Dodge Durango with the Beats Audio and I'm in the US. Thanks!

While the colors in the Kenwood extension harness are different than what we list in our guide, the pin positions are the same, so if you follow the guide, you should be fine.

We sell replacement data cables for $15 (part and shipping included). If you're interested in that, I can send you an invoice via PayPal and get the ball rolling.

Thanks for the reply Dara!
I replied and don't see it posted, so I apologize if it's a duplicate reply.
My original replies went something like this...
First, please send me the invoice, I'm a little stuck without it. :)
As for the wiring, here's where I'm getting confused...
In the guide I downloaded in August of 2017, the section regarding using the extension showed a diagram of the CH2 T-Harness and these instructions:
white wire to red wire in pin 15
black wire to red/black in pin 6
then connector to position A on the module

The guide downloaded last night shows a diagram of the Kenwood extension harness with the white wire to blue wire in pin 2
black wire to black wire in pin 11
then connector to position A on the module

So want to make sure I'm following the correct diagram.

Thanks again!
