2014 Rav4 Kenwood ddx9702

Post by Trik69 » Tue Jun 14, 2016 2:53 pm

Whenever I start my car my hu defaults to the vehicle info screen and there are times I'll be trying to change the input and in the middle of me making the changes it will default back to the vehicle info screen. What do I need to do to make sure it doesn't keep on going back there?

Do you have a TPMS, door alert, or check engine alert that's showing on that screen? You can go into the vehicle settings in the radio and turn alerts off for these items.

Hello Dara,

No, I do not have any engine code errors or anything of the sort showing up. That's why I don't understand why it is always defaulting to that screen. Do you have another solution that it might be? I initially thought that it was the hu, but I doubt that since that screen isn't available unless I have the Maestro. Thanks again for your time and help.

No...It should only pop up if there is an alert. Try disabling the alerts in the settings menu and see if it goes away.

I've tried that, but it is grayed out since there are not any alerts, I am unable to do that.

I think you're in the wrong menu; Go to Setup > System > Toyota/OEM setup > Maestro features > vehicle features

The vehicle info settings will be there, you need to turn off all 3 types of alerts. Or you can try them one at a time to try to figure out which one might be giving you that alert.

Thanks, I'm working right now, but I'll try that out when I get a chance and let you know if that works.
