2012 Sienna, Non-JBL with Push button start - RR or T01 or Both

Post by DDhanan » Thu Oct 18, 2018 11:20 pm

I intend to replace the OEM Entune HU (with navi) on a 2012 Sienna XLE (non JBL - 6 Speaker) with a Pioneer AVIC - NEX8400.
  • Do I need both the RR and the T01 harness or will the RR suffice?
  • Will Maestro integration support the use of the following OEM components?
    • Backup cam
    • Mic - installed in the overhead console between driver and passenger
    • USB
Going forward if I decide to use an aftermarket amp, will the selected Maestro interface support it?

Thanks

You need both the RR and T01.

We can retain the OEM Camera and USB, but retaining the microphone is not possible in this application.

If you add an aftermarket amp, it will work just fine- the audio does not go through the maestro; it just goes out from the radio to the speaker wires in the van, so the maestro will be unaffected by this.

I am bench wiring the RR/TO1 harness to the W8400Nex.
  1. I don't see any mapping for the Blue connector on the RR but a cable is included. Should It remain unconnected?
  2. The Rear cam harness has a connector with four wires plus the RCA plug. DO those 4 wires need to be connected to vehicle connector and is it a 20Pin or a 28Pin
Thanks

I am bench wiring the T)1, RR & AVIC-W8400NEX. The RR instructions are ambigiuous and there are no instructions with TO1. I have connected the wires but am not sure about this component of TO1.

Does this need to be connected for the AVIC-W8400NEX or is this redundant

Regarding the four wires for the OEM camera connections.... Do I need to connect them to the vehicle or does the TO1 harness address that integration. If not, where do I find the 20Pin connector as listed in the RR instructions (2011-14 NON-JBL Sienna). The only 20Pin connection behind the radio is the main power one

Last of all, I am also adding a SXV300 Sat tuner. For Navigation and Satmusic, Do I need to add the GPS connection to both the HU and the SXV300 or can I just add it to only one, Tuner or HU and the Sat/HU interface will allow both (Navigation and Sat music)

Thanks
