08 Sienna Maestro RR and Pioneer AVH2300NEX

Post by jgarcia1925 » Fri Sep 15, 2017 10:25 pm

All, thanks in advance for the help.

Just a quick question, well a couple of them.

1. Will this combo be able to see the doors open on the pioneer unit? I'm currently not seeing that on the unit.

2. Also, do the rear back up sensors become disabled? I know that this vehicle has them, and they even displayed the distance on the dash, I'm no longer seeing that.

Other than that it seems to working ok. Although I'm only getting the gauges and I think the TPMS is working. The only other quirk I noticed was the fuel gauge did not match the gauge on the dash cluster.

Anywho, those are both the main questions I have. Customer probably didn't care for it but it was something I noticed. Mainly the sensors was my biggest concern.

1. In some Toyotas, the doors may not show up on the vehicle info screen, because they are analog- there is just a door trigger, and they don't send those signals to any computers in the car. When this happens, we are unable to show door status because there is no way for us to get that information from the vehicle.

2. We do not retain parking assist as part of this solution.

As for the fuel gauge, make sure you input the fuel tank capacity, or the calculations can be off on the gauges display.

Ok thanks for the reply! Perhaps that's what's going on. No big issue. I just saw that under the list of features covered for this year sienna that the doors open warning pops up, and it didn't show up with the maestro harness.

Either way we got his rear camera working and the rear seat entertainment which is the most important thing to them. Thanks again!

Can you tell me how you got the rear entertainment system working? I'm contemplating running video out from my head unit into the 3rd row inputs on the driver side wall, and that would give me audio over the speakers and video to the overhead screen. Is that what you did? Or is there another solution that makes more sense?
