2011 FJ - Maestro RR - Axxess TYTO-01 Question

Post by carritronix » Sun Dec 10, 2017 1:34 pm

I'm getting ready to install the Maestro RR into my 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser and have a couple of questions.
Here's what I'm working with...
2011 FJ Cruiser with a Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX installed. I purchased the Maestro RR and TO1 harness.

I removed the Pioneer and discovered an AXXESS TYTO-01 installed as well as an AXXESS ASWC-1 steering wheel control interface. (not working)
It's my understanding that the TYTO-01 is making the Pioneer compatible with the factory JBL system (?)
My steering wheel controls are not functioning, so it's safe to say the ASWC-1 is not working.
Should I remove these AXXESS modules? Are they doing anything that the Maestro won't be doing once installed?

Please help...

If you use the Maestro RR and the TO1, there will be no need for any of those axxess modules. You should remove them.
