Pioneer W8400NEX questions

Post by youdrinkindunkin » Sun Nov 11, 2018 9:53 pm

Hello,

Purchased a W8400NEX and CH1 to put in my 2014 Rubicon with factory Alpine, curious if there is a wiring diagram that will be published ? I checked on the website and only found the generic install guide not the detailed wiring diagram. Also I'd rather not run a new GPS antenna and see the NAV2 adapter will convert my factory navigation antenna to the aftermarket radio...is there any reason to use the Pioneer one or is the factory one ok ?

Thanks !

- Bobby

Install guide:

The NAV2 is listed to work for your vehicle, so you could use that instead of running a new one, if you'd like.

Sadly it didn't work, I reseated the adapter multiple times but I just get the error in the picture.

"GPS antenna problem detected. Contact dealer or service center"

I connected the antenna in the Pioneer box and it worked perfect.

On a side note, I connected a micro bypass by the video still won't play while moving...any idea if these models not compatible ?

Thanks again

I believe the new radios aren't able to be bypassed; they disable video as soon as the GPS sees that you're moving.
