Loose OBDII Connection Jeep JK

Post by thisdude » Mon Apr 16, 2018 9:24 pm

I have a 2012 Jeep with the Pioneer AVH4201 NEX and Maestro RR. i have had constant issues with the ODBII connection since day 1. The connection drops all the time and i have to wiggle the plug around to get it just right in order for any data to show on the screen. once i get it right, the next bump in the road throws it off again. is there a way to firm up the plug that came with my harness while still making it possible to remove when needed?

Not really- You could hardwire the OBD2 wires, then if you need to disable the obd2 communication, you can do that in the radio settings, under OEM Setup, before you hook up another scan tool. This will disable the RR so it won't conflict with other devices. When you're done, just turn the OBD2 communication back on.
