2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee retained accessory power

Post by Mark2808 » Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:29 am

I just replaced a pac audio harness with a Maestro and CH1 harness. Everything works fine with the exception of the retained accessory power (which worked with the pac harness). Have I mis-wired something? I still have RAP for my windows.

We're simply following the radio turn on/turn off commands sent on the car's data lines. It's possible that the other module was monitoring the data differently, which could account for why they don't work the same.

I looked at the pac audio installation instructions last night. It appears they don’t take a signal to keep the power on - it just defaults to 10 minutes (unless a door is opened sooner). I don’t know if this is possible to do on the Maestro RR, but it would be a nice firmware upgrade😎

Unfortunately, our firmware is not coded that way for one simple reason- we don't want something to go wrong with the timer, keep the circuit accidentally active, and cause your battery to go dead.

I have the same problem - 2009 Grand Cherokee, maestro RR and ch1 harness install by the book with everything working except the retained power. Can you please look into how this can be added/fixed?

The engineers are aware of the issue and are looking into getting the correct message to keep the radio on during the RAP.
