ADS-MRR, Pioneer AVH-X391BHS, 2008 Dodge Charger

Post by WestCoastDan » Mon Nov 06, 2017 9:16 pm

Successfully flashed the Interface Module, and wired it to the factory harness & new receiver. Receiver works well, but there are no control functions from the steering wheel; no volume, source, FF, etc. - none.

This is a "re-flash" of the interface unit because I changed out the receiver.
Any chance that there is a "known issue" with this Pioneer or the flash update?

Again, I successfully flashed the unit with the new configuration, so it should work.

ADS-MRR Interface Module
HRN-RR-CH1 Factory Integration Adapter
Pioneer AVH-X391BHS
2008 Dodge Charger (had factory REQ, w/o U-Connect)

Thanks,
Dan

What does the light on the maestro do when you press a button on your steering wheel- does it blink like it sees you pushing a button?

Did you use the maestro's blue plug in your installation? If so, what did you do with it?

Following your post I reviewed the wiring, and sure enough... I missed the maestro's blue wire as it was not used on my previous configuration.
I connected the blue cable between the receiver and maestro.
There is no instruction for the loose wire that is part of the maestro cable.
I re-flashed the maestro with different configuration, connected everything and tried the controls.
The green led flashes when a button is pressed, but not all functions happen.
I can get volume -, and source but no vol+, etc.

Not too sure if any of the below is related, but...

I often have an issue where the bluetooth audio (pandora) only plays through the left channel, & I have to power off & reconnect to make both R&L channels work.

Any thoughts?
