2014 Sierra 2500 hd with kenwood dnx570hd screen freezes

Post by Batman1280 » Wed Dec 12, 2018 12:24 pm

So the issue im having is everything worked great for the first week and a half, but now if I put the navigation screen up the whole head unit locks up and won't do anything. No sw controls or anything. It only happens when I put on the nav. It works fine as long as the I don't use the nav. I've tried resetting both the heat unit and also the maestro rr to no help. Like I said everything worked fine for a week and a half but now can't use nav. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

That would be an issue with the radio, possibly firmware. We don't care what source the radio is in as far as our functionality. We recommend checking with kenwood and seeing if the current firmware on your radio is the most up to date firmware they have available

Ok I'll check with them. I know I just updated the firmware when I installed as I was updating the map also. But thanks.

I see this is a few months old, but wanted to see if you had resolved your issue. I had the exact same thing happen to my DNX570HD after a software & navigation update. If you're still having issues, pm me and I'll see if I can help you out.
