Gm7 firmware not programming

Post by Final_Drive220 » Thu Jan 12, 2017 8:11 am

Hi, I installed an HC1 unit with the HCX RSA-GM7 (2.6)firmware in a 2013 GMC Terrain and I am having a problem getting it to program. Here's what I've got so far.

Turn the key to ON - green light starts flashing
Take the key out - goes solid red
Turn the key to ON - red goes out
Take the key out - nothing
Turn the key to ON - no response

The manual says it should go solid green for 2 seconds.

I was able to program the remotes and when you remote start it, it turns the Ignition on, but fails and flashes red when it goes to crank mode, then gives 11 flashes. Canbus error.

I compared the wiring diagram to an alca diagram and the HC1 wiring does not use the canH and canL wires. I tried wiring us those Can wires to see if it would work but it did not make a difference. Also when I was resetting the module I reconnected power and held the button down until the module flashed red then went green for a full reset.

I've verified that the wire colours and pin locations are correct, and I tried reprogramming the module. What should I look for next?

You need to check your immobilizer connection at the BCM. The module never sees immobilizer.

I checked the immobilizer connections. White/red and green/red going to the plug side of the Lt. Blue (pin 2)wire, and white/black to the vehicle side of the Lt. Blue (pin 2)cut wire.
