2016 subaru brz/RR install

Post by timothypitt » Sat Aug 20, 2016 11:33 am

hello, I am trying to hook up the Maestro RR into a 2016 Subaru BRZ with a Pioneer AVH-x5700BHS. The Pioneer website (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... H-X5700BHS) says that it supports the RR but when I try to flash the module the deck doesn't show up. I have read that I can flash it as a Scion RS, but when I tried this using the RR and the Toy-1 wiring kit I still couldn't get any of the OEM features, i.e. the backup camera, Bluetooth phone microphone, or the OEM amp, to work.

Any ideas?

I would appreciate any help

While that radio is idatalink compatible, and we do make a firmware for that car, we currently don't have a firmware to retain the features you're looking for; we currently only retain steering wheel controls and gauges, and that radio is not capable of doing gauges, hence the reason there is no firmware. The coding in the BRZ is different than the FRS, which is why we don't cover it with the toyota firmware.
