Did some people get advance copies of these cables? I need one in dire need. Mostly mobile installs.

Sorry to tell you Brian that the box says Weblink Mobile and it still says "error, not authorized". ALCA works good though. I just tried it.

No smoke and mirrors here. There is no Android flasher at this time. It took over a year to get the iPhone flasher to market. Ask me next January about an Android flasher.

we are looking into the TB issue..... some of them do work, some of them do not.

I have no definitive answer as to which ones do and which ones don't. We should have an update at some time to know or distinguish them after CES is over.

there were a few chosen to get them before the release to help facilitate some in field testing in select areas.

they are being made available as of CES opening.....talk to your distributor or who you purchase modules through.

No I-phone cable 'til March 2014 and "ask NEXT January(2015)" about Android capability. Too bad they boast about both on the packaging that came out in September 2013. I know it's not the fault of any of the ADS tech support people, but somebody somewhere screwed up and didn't get product to market for this season.
The only good thing I can say about it is now I have a use for the I-Pod4 Touch that's gathering dust in the glove compartment of my shop truck. Easier to drag around than a laptop and easily tethered to my Samsung Rugby. I can't wait for the first customer to ask why I'm using two phones to install their remote start.

Back to packing my MyFi and my Laptop bag....

anyway, I buy from a few distributors, and the ADS-CA are in the new boxes, but some are dated back way to the beginning of 2013. I dont think I've seen anything past SEPT 2013 and I think this is new stock, so maybe this is a good thing, none of the modules I have are compatible anyway.

Back Up a minute.
That is a distributor saying March. Product started shipping today. Many distributors will have product this week.

Package says Weblink Mobile via smartphone. We cover the iPhone as of today. What I said about Android is just my way of saying don't ask every week for an update for a product we haven't even said we were making.

Iphone is first because it's the dominant phone company.

You already have a solution that works for you and that is great.

1- My distributor has no idea when the ADS-WLM-AP1 will be available, as that number is not even in their system yet.
2- The term "Smartphone" is used by Samsung but NOT Apple in their advertising. Pardon me for assuming that by the use of that word that there would ever be any Android cable available. I learned a long time ago on this forum never to ask "when". Well, I did actually ask once after I found in on the new packaging.
3- I-Phone is far from dominant; the current phone market in Canada is 43% Android, 35% Apple, 19% Blackberry.
I will make do with the I-Pod when I get my hands on a cable, but I will still be first in line when(and if) there's anything released for Android.

Sorry I wasnt banging you... I am not sure why people are making a fuss about android, I put my information on an ipad anyway instead of printing.

Is there a way to update pre 9/2013 sept modules via firmware or something else to make them compatible, or do they have hardware onboard that is needed? Even if it was a complicated process, I personally would still investigate it.

I do see multi color lights on the programmer itself, so I guess thats cool in a way for status?
