2008 2500HD, Sony XAV-AX100 - issue with low sub output

Post by moore42 » Wed Jul 18, 2018 11:39 am

Recently installed the RR/GM5+ and a Sony XAV-AX100 into my 2008 2500HD. I finally got the programming right and got everything working 2 weeks ago. I received my sub box this week and installed my sub and amp. The subwoofer is barely putting anything out. I have the gain on the amp turned all the way up plus the amp remote level turned all the way up.

Do I have something connected wrong with the GM5+ to Sony XAV?

Sony XAV sub output is plugged into the Amp input (just one channel, didnt matter R or L)

Any ideas to start looking?

The Maestro is not doing anything with the audio signal. You may have to check how you have your subwoofer wired internal in the enclosure to ensure you have the right impedance at the amplifier. Also check to see if there is a sub control within the Sony radio for additional adjustments. Sony may be able to help you with this any further.
