I didn’t see a play just to turn off one set of lines.
It’s either on or off. Am I missing something?

Also onstar cannot check systems while the stereo is plugged in. Is there an option for the stereo to stop trying to connect to the OBDII system while the truck is off?

Set the OBD2 communication to "Enabled On Demand" in the Gauges setup of the radio and this problem will be resolved.

I just checked with our engineering team, and they confirmed that it's a Kenwood thing. You can't turn off the static guidelines.

Will your software engineers be speaking with Kenwood on that issue. That’s the only way they will update the firmware is if your company asks since you two work closely together.

I really need to have this working, it was the reason I upgraded from the 6702 to the 6704.

As for the OBDII setting, will this cause any side effects? I read it can give me false fuel mileage readings.

That is correct. The OBD2 will only read when you're in the gauges screen, so the longitudinal fuel economy calcuations (like average MPG) will be less accurate.

Kenwood most likely will not do anything.
Could you ask your programmers to change how the maestro delivers the lines. I am able to remove the kenwood parking lines but yours goes away also. You should be able to reprogram it to keep yours up. Just add the setting on the oem section.

We do not populate the lines- we just give the information for the wheel angle.

Are you absolutely sure about that? I only ask because Kenwoods 9704 would not have dynamic lines without the use of your maestro interface so why would kenwood include another set of lines that move?

Kenwood has escalated this matter for me. I have sent pictures to them.

Just an update,
I received a voice message from
kenwood they handed over the problem to the engineers.
I most likely will not hear anything until after the holidays.
They said they will be working on the problem and see if it is something they can fix with a firmware update or something they will need to reach out to maestro.

I think this is good news.

I have another issue. I am not sure if it is something I wired wrong, a kenwood issue, or maestro.

This so regarding the dining feature of the screen.
I was barely able to see the screen even set at 4 during the day. I
Just noticed when I was resting lights in the truck during the day I turned the headlights on and the kenwood screen got very bright.
I went into th setting for the screen and if I turn off sync it goes dim, if I set to off it goes to dim if thenheadlisghts are off then to bright when the headlights are on. , if I set to dim to on it gets brights.
It seems to be reversed.

Never mind on the screen brightness. Learned tounset both the dim and brightness setting individually.
That is even better.

Thanks

Scott
