2016 F150

Post by JeremiahCC » Sat Jul 28, 2018 1:51 am

Just installed the KIT-FTR1 along with the Maestro RR. Paired those with a Kenwood DDX9903S. Got it all up and running, now running into issues ;

1. Factory Microphone does not work, should it?

2. Factory USB port works, but when selecting song on drive and playing, no audio plays.

3. (The pertains more to the headunit, I believe) Can not access Android Auto when plugged into the new USB connections. Android Auto says I need to be in park before continuing.

4. I can see Sync is available to pair with, but when trying to pair, it does not succeed.

1&2-Sounds like you may have the audio cable either plugged into the wrong location on the radio or not used at all. Also note that if you are Using Android Auto that that OEM microphone will not work and the Kenwood microphone needs to be used.
3-try setting the parking brake
4- Connection to Sync needs to be executed through the phone menu in the radio
