Rx-8 maestro rr with pioneer avh2330nex

Post by Mxrider4life847 » Sun May 06, 2018 11:02 pm

2005 Mazda RX-8
PIONEER AVH2330Nex headunit
Meastro rr

Couple of issues following my installation a few months back.

The first is that I never did have steering wheel controls. I wired it up as per the diagram I received... it’s not a big issue as I had an axxess module that was ready to install. After confirming proper wiring, I went ahead and installed the axxess aswc, all radio controls are now functional. But I was thinking the maestro rr should offer this function?

Secondly, i have proper gauge readings from my OBD2 displayed on the head unit, however the vehicle information tab is greyed out and does not give me access to display the tire pressure information or CEL info.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

Yes, we do retain steering wheel controls with the RR. If you wanted, you could remove the other module and wire our steering wheel inputs up, so that it's all going through one module.

The CEL information is in the OEM Setup menu, under the gauges settings.

hello, I have a 2004 rx8 and was wanting to know if you could tell me what OEM options would be available through the RR. Would it just be the gauges and tpms or would there be more. Any info would be great. Thank you!

As the website's fit guide shows, we retain steering wheel controls and add the gauges feature. To use the RR in this car, you MUST use an idatalink compatible radio.
