2008 Honda fit RS/sony XAV-AX100

Post by Mrbubbles » Sun Jul 30, 2017 3:08 am

so I am having some issues with my maestro SW first off my car is not listed so I used a 2008 Honda civic (no Navigation) it uses the same steering wheel it has 3 buttons mode, channel up, and down, and volume up, and down. so I flashed it and installed it I have the pink/red wire connected directly to the steering wheel control and also the black/white wire connected directly to the steering wheel controls.. before I put everything back together I tried it and it worked it reconized every input so I went ahead and put it all back together and now it doesn't work the maestro SW is receiving the inputs I press a button on the steering wheel and the light blinks green on the SW but its not getting sent to the sony xav-ax100.. Ive reflashed the SW several times ive checked the wiring several times with a mulimeter and everything looks like it should but its not working so I'm at a loss here..

also the reason I have it wired directly to the steering wheel instead of the radio harness is because the Japanese Honda fit doesn't come with steering wheel controls so I bought off ebay and installed them myself.. :D

If you're getting blinks when you press buttons on the steering wheel, that means we're seeing the button press and sending a command. Make sure you're plugged into the blue port on the back of the radio, and that the blue/yellow wire isn't connected to anything.

Also, make sure the firmware on your Sony is up to date.

Yeah it was all hooked up for some reason it wasnt sending anything to the headunit not sure if the sw is broken or what but it wasnt working i ended up just buying a 3.5 mm jack cable from a local store and using that works no problem with the sony xav-ax100 headunit...

I'm not understanding what you're saying. Did you replace our plug? If so, how did you do it?
