Thanks, the press-hold was what I needed for Siri. Everything has changed for that function since the CarPlay and compatibility updates. You cannot use Siri from either the head unit or steering wheel any more unless the phone is connected by cable, and you have to press/hold instead of just press.

As far as the wiring diagram, I managed to print the Chrysler 200 page instead of the Jeep page, sorry, my mistake.

If there's anything more I can do regarding the VSS, let me know, I have the vehicle apart and I work at home so it's easy to test.

Pioneer is teleasing a new set of NEXs the X100 series. There are three to be released in march updates to the current line. 4100, 8100 and 1 more im not sure of 5100 or 7100.... will theses be compatible with the RR now and do you forsee gauges support for them?

Pioneer is not supporting gauges in the new radio models you listed. They are iDatalink compatible, but will currently only be compatible with the Ford, GM, Chrysler, and VWs we currently cover with the t-harness solutions.

If gauges are not supported on th Pioneer NEX line, do I still need to tap into the ODBII?

If the RR does not support gauges on the NEX, is there any reason to use it over the SW?

Will the x200 lines support Gauges? In a few videos https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bGUeUL3-xKA they are demoing gauges support.

Of course. My 8100 hasn't even been installed 2 months yet.

Hopefully Pioneer offers a software update like they did with the older z1x0 models.

I doubt they will. New model, new features, they'll probably just expect you to upgrade.

So based off of what you're saying, I have to wait for them to even make the AVH-4200NEX available?
I can't just buy the AVH-4100NEX and hope they give it an update that enables all the new iDatalink Maestro RR-enabled features they've added to the software of the new model?

I want those sweet sweet gauges and the OBDII information, but the AVH-4200NEX isn't even on the market yet and I can get the AVH-4100NEX for a steal on Amazon.com right now.

That's correct. I can say, with almost total certainty, that they will not be offering a firmware update to add these features to the older models. To get the gauges feature, you will have to purchase the 4200 when it comes out.

This may have already been answered, but since it's a new model....does the 8200NEX support gauges and vehicle info? and If not should I even bother connecting to two leads to the CANH and CANL wires?

Thank you
